We’re all aware of the power of the 10 second sound bite, but how many know of the 13-millisecond media pitch?

What can you achieve in 13 milliseconds

Research has demonstrated the human brain can process an entire image that the eye sees in as little as 13 milliseconds. That's how long it takes to blink. With the correct use of a single image, that's how long it takes for you to capture a journalist's attention and tell the story of your event.

What can you achieve in 50 milliseconds

It takes about 50 milliseconds (that's 0.05 of a second) for a journalist, media representative or influencer to form an opinion about a page of content on your event or festival, so images play a crucial role even before they read the first words.

What you can achieve in 10 seconds

The average person can recite about 20 words in 10 seconds. Add a headline and brief description to an image, and you've created a 10-second pitch for your event.

What you must achieve in 15 seconds
